Terms & Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions explain the rules that apply when you use MeerBay, create an account, place an order, purchase products, or otherwise interact with our website.

01

About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the MeerBay website and any purchase you make through it.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website or place an order.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

02

About MeerBay

MeerBay is a UK-focused online retailer offering wellness products, supplements, vitamins, collagen products and related goods from third-party brands.

You can contact us at:

Email: sales@meerbay.com

Before publishing this page, add your full legal trading name and business/postal address here. UK distance-selling rules generally require customers to receive the trader's identity, contact information and address before they place an order.
03

Using our website

You may use MeerBay for lawful personal shopping and browsing purposes.

You must not:

  • use the website unlawfully or fraudulently;
  • attempt to interfere with the website's operation, security or availability;
  • introduce malicious software or harmful code;
  • scrape, copy or systematically extract website content without permission;
  • misuse another person's account or personal information; or
  • use the website in a way that infringes the rights of MeerBay, our customers, brands or other third parties.
04

Products and product information

We aim to present product names, images, descriptions, ingredients, sizes, prices and availability as accurately as reasonably possible.

Product packaging, formulation, labelling, ingredients, appearance or other details may occasionally change where a manufacturer updates a product.

Images are provided for illustration and identification purposes. Packaging received may differ slightly from the images displayed on the website.

If specific ingredients, allergens or dietary requirements are important to you, you should check the physical product label before use.

05

Orders and formation of the contract

Placing an order on MeerBay is an offer to purchase the products shown in your basket.

After you place an order, we may send an acknowledgement confirming that we have received it. This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract for the purchase of goods is formed when we accept your order and confirm that it is being processed or dispatched.

We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • a price or product listing contains an obvious error;
  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or abusive activity;
  • delivery cannot reasonably be completed; or
  • we are legally prevented from fulfilling the order.

If payment has already been taken for an order we cannot fulfil, we will arrange an appropriate refund.

06

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise.

Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed before you complete checkout.

We may update prices from time to time, but changes will not normally affect an order that has already been accepted.

If a pricing error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as an error, we may cancel the affected order and refund any amount paid.

Payment must be made through one of the payment methods offered during checkout.

07

Delivery

Available delivery options, estimated times and charges are shown during checkout or elsewhere on the website.

Delivery estimates are estimates rather than guarantees unless we expressly agree otherwise.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If your order is delayed or appears to be missing, please contact MeerBay so that we can investigate.

Where applicable, your statutory rights relating to delivery remain unaffected.

08

Cancellation, returns and change of mind

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you may have a statutory right to cancel certain orders within 14 days after receiving the goods.

Where the cancellation right applies, you should inform us clearly that you wish to cancel and then return the goods within the period required by law.

Returned goods should be handled only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Sealed health and hygiene products

Certain sealed products may not be eligible for change-of-mind cancellation after the seal has been broken where the goods are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons.

Because MeerBay sells ingestible wellness and supplement products, please do not open or use an item if you intend to return it simply because you changed your mind.

Your rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods are separate and are not removed by this provision.

09

Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

Goods supplied by MeerBay must comply with your statutory rights, including applicable requirements relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with their description.

If you receive a faulty, damaged or incorrect product, contact us at sales@meerbay.com with your order details.

Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, an appropriate remedy may include a refund, repair or replacement.

Your statutory consumer rights cannot be removed by these Terms. UK guidance confirms that faulty or misdescribed goods may give consumers rights to refunds and other remedies.
10

Supplements, wellness information and health

MeerBay sells wellness products and food supplements from third-party brands.

Information provided on our website is intended for general product and shopping information. It should not be treated as personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Food supplements should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's directions and product label.

You should seek appropriate professional advice before using a supplement where relevant, particularly if you:

  • have a medical condition;
  • take medication;
  • are pregnant or breastfeeding;
  • have known allergies or sensitivities; or
  • are purchasing a product for a child or another person with specific health requirements.

Do not exceed any recommended intake stated on the product packaging unless appropriately advised by a qualified professional.

Supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle where the applicable product guidance says so.

MeerBay does not represent food supplements as products intended to prevent, treat or cure disease.

11

Customer accounts

You may be able to create a MeerBay customer account to manage orders, addresses, payment methods or other account information.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for providing accurate account information.

Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or serious misuse of the website.

12

Our liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

MeerBay is intended primarily for consumers. If you use products purchased through the website for business purposes, different legal considerations may apply.

We are not responsible for loss caused by misuse of a product, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

13

Intellectual property

The MeerBay name, website design, original website content, graphics and other materials owned by MeerBay are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Third-party brand names, logos, product images and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Nothing on this website grants you a licence to use MeerBay's or a third party's intellectual property except as necessary for normal personal use of the website.

14

Privacy and personal information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

Information may be processed where necessary to operate the website, process orders, take payments, arrange delivery, provide customer support, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

Please review our Privacy Policy for further information about how personal information is handled.

15

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, business, products, services or legal requirements.

The version published on this page will apply from its stated effective date.

Changes will not retrospectively remove statutory rights relating to orders already placed.

16

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

If you have a problem with an order or with MeerBay, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve it.

Nothing in these Terms restricts any legal rights you have to bring a claim in a court or use another dispute-resolution mechanism where available.
